What Gallery does not stock
Being straight about this, because Hélas is best known for its headwear and people arrive here looking for it: we do not currently carry Hélas caps, bucket hats, tracksuits or knitwear. None are in the building and none are listed. If that changes it will appear on the Hélas collection page first.
The Hélas story
Hélas — pronounced "ay-lahs", French for "alas" — was founded in 2010 by Lucas Puig and Stéphane Ashpool. Puig is one of the most technical skaters of his generation and was adidas Skateboarding's flagship pro for over a decade; Ashpool is the designer behind Pigalle. What started as a premium cap line grew into one of the most recognisable independent streetwear labels in Europe, known for its umbrella logo, its tracksuits, and a French-skate-meets-tennis-club aesthetic that doesn't exist anywhere else. The umbrella is a nod to the idiom — hélas, what a shame — a quiet anti-hype joke that became the brand's signature.

- Caps & bucket hats — the brand's foundation. 5-panels, 6-panels, bucket hats in cotton twill, corduroy and fleece depending on the season.
- Tracksuits — the Campo Suit is the piece that put Hélas on the map globally. Fitted cut, custom jacquard fabric.
- Tees & polos — mid-weight cotton, often with tonal embroidery.

We do not publish our own Hélas sizing rule. Hélas is cut on a European pattern and fit varies by piece, so a blanket rule of thumb is unreliable advice and we are not going to give you one.
