Golf Shoes in Kelowna: What We Actually Carry, Spiked vs Spikeless
The honest version first: Gallery Streetwear carries one golf shoe. We are a golf apparel shop that happens to stock a single pair of shoes you can play in, not a golf footwear retailer. The golf shoe we actually stock
adidas Spezial Spikeless Golf Shoes — Core Black, $160 CAD
This is the Handball Spezial silhouette rebuilt for the course. Core black upper with three stripes in cloud white, a gum outsole, and no removable cleats — traction comes from the moulded tread rather than screw-in spikes. The practical consequence is that you do not change shoes after the round: it walks off the eighteenth and straight down Bernard Avenue.
We stock US 9 to 12, including half sizes, subject to what is left on the shelf on the day. Because it uses the Handball Spezial last, it fits like the sneaker rather than like a traditional golf shoe — which is worth knowing if you have only ever bought golf footwear before. Try it on in store; it is a five-minute job and it settles the sizing question properly.

Spiked or spikeless: how to actually decide
This is the only real decision in golf footwear, and it is not a close-run thing once you know what you want from the shoe.
Spiked
Spiked shoes take replaceable soft cleats that screw into the sole and bite down into turf. That gives the most grip you can get on wet, soft or steeply sloped ground — which describes a lot of Okanagan golf in spring and after rain, where the ground moves under you on a side-hill lie. The trade-offs: the cleats wear out and have to be replaced, most clubhouses would rather you took them off indoors, and they are not shoes you wear anywhere else. Gallery does not stock spiked golf shoes. If that is what you want, a dedicated golf retailer is the right stop and we will tell you so in person.
Spikeless
Spikeless shoes use a moulded outsole with no removable parts. You give up some bite in genuinely wet conditions, and you gain a shoe that is comfortable to walk in all day, does not need cleat maintenance, and can be worn off the course. Spikeless is what most clubs mean when they allow "soft-soled" footwear, though policy is set club by club — confirm with wherever you are playing rather than assuming.
Short version: if you play in most conditions, walk your rounds, and want one pair that works on and off the course, spikeless. If you compete in the wet on hilly layouts and want maximum purchase on the ball, spiked — and you are buying that elsewhere.
What the rest of the golf department looks like

Malbon Golf
The deepest of the three by a distance. Polos including the Fairway Baldwin Polo in navy ($158) and the Block Placket Polo ($158); bottoms from the Ripley CoolCore Short ($198) to the Condor CoolCore Pant ($228); hoodies, wind shirts and anoraks for shoulder-season mornings. Women's runs alongside it — the Anna Polo in ivory ($158), the Baseline Skirt in white ($178) and the Solene Short ($178).
Eastside Golf
Narrower and more graphic-led: Snap Placket Polos, the Range Short, Swingman tees, hoodies and hats. Good for players who want the round to look like the rest of their wardrobe.
Students Golf
The most classical of the three — knitwear, cardigans, button-ups and polos like the Filhurst S/S Polo in green ($115), plus outerwear such as the Canyonlands Anorak ($230).
The small things that matter more than they should

A note on Okanagan courses
Kelowna golf runs on elevation. Tower Ranch, Black Mountain, Sunset Ranch and Kelowna Springs all ask you to walk or ride across grade, and the surface swings from firm and dry in August to soft and slick in spring and autumn. That is the case for spikes if you are competitive and the case for a comfortable spikeless shoe if you are playing socially and want to walk. It is also the case for layers: a wind shirt in the bag matters more here than in most places, because a still first tee and a breezy back nine is a normal Okanagan day.
