The History of Clarks
Clarks was founded in 1825 in Street, Somerset, England by brothers Cyrus Clark and James Clark. Their first product was a simple sheepskin slipper made from leftover materials. What began as a small family business quickly evolved into one of the most influential footwear companies in the world.

Desert Boot and Desert Trek — Clarks history, not our stock

The Desert Boot was introduced in 1950 by Nathan Clark, inspired by crepe-soled footwear worn by British soldiers in North Africa during the Second World War. The minimal two-eyelet design and crepe outsole created one of the most influential casual boots ever produced. The Desert Trek followed later, offering a roomier fit and centre-seam construction.
