Clarks Originals Shoes

The Wallabee has been in production since 1967 and has been adopted by more subcultures than almost any other shoe — Jamaican sound system culture, Wu-Tang, British mod revival, and now whoever is buying them this year. It's a moccasin construction on a crepe sole, and it doesn't really look like anything else.

On the floor

• Wallabee — the low, in Maple Suede and Black Suede, men's and women's, plus the Tiger Print
• Meare Walla — in Beeswax and Maple Suede. The two deepest sizes runs we hold in Clarks
• Meare Rooey — the women's boot, in Dark Sand
• Meare Mule — women's, in Caramel. The backless one

Not in the current range: the Desert Boot, the Wallabee Boot, and a leather Wallabee — ours are suede and the Tiger Print. Email info@gallerystreetwear.ca and we'll tell you honestly what we can get.

Sizing and wear

We don't publish a sizing rule for Clarks Originals. Use the measurements in our size guide, or come in to 588 Bernard Ave, Kelowna BC and we'll fit you. Crepe soles need a break-in and they don't love wet Okanagan winters; they're a three-season shoe here unless you're careful.

What is the difference between the Wallabee and the Desert Boot?
The Wallabee uses a moccasin construction with a wrapped upper. The Desert Boot is a two-eyelet chukka introduced in 1950. Both use a crepe sole. Gallery carries the Wallabee; the Desert Boot is not in the current range.
