How to choose without overthinking it
- Shoe size is the crudest useful guide. Roughly: up to a men's 9, 8.25" is comfortable; 9 to 11, 8.375"; 11 and up, 8.5".
- Where you skate matters more than how you skate. Mostly flat ground and ledges, go narrower. Mostly bowls and transition, go wider.
- Stay near what you already ride. Moving more than about a quarter inch in one jump will feel wrong for a week.
