Tenant NYC Skateboard Clothing – Now at Gallery Streetwear Canada

Tenant NYC has officially landed at Gallery Streetwear Canada, bringing the energy of a true New York skateboard clothing brand to our home base at 588 Bernard Ave, Kelowna, BC, and to skaters across the country through www.gallerystreetwear.ca.

Tenant NYC began as the in-house clothing line for Tenant Skateshop, a small but influential Brooklyn skateboard shop that opened in 2019. Built by real skaters for their community, Tenant quickly became known for its focus on quality, creativity, and authenticity. What started as shop tees and hats for local skaters grew into a respected name in the international skateboarding scene.

At Gallery Streetwear Canada, we’re proud to carry Tenant NYC and share this New York skate shop brand with Canadian skateboarders and streetwear fans who care about culture over hype.

Tenant NYC represents the kind of brand we believe in—independent, honest, and grounded in skateboarding. It’s not a label trying to look ā€œskate-inspiredā€; it’s born from a working shop that sells boards, trucks, wheels, and now its own clothing line. The pieces are clean, simple, and built for daily life: heavy cotton tees, relaxed hoodies, classic caps, and functional staples made to skate, wash, and repeat.

Each design carries a bit of New York attitude—references to local spots, neighborhoods, radio stations, and skate culture—told through subtle, timeless graphics that don’t scream but still stand out.

At Gallery Streetwear Canada, we take pride in supporting both local and international skateboard communities. We’re a small, independent shop run by lifelong skaters and a former pro snowboarder, and we know how hard it is for true skate shops to survive in a corporate retail world. That’s why we love working with brands like Tenant NYC—small, community-driven, and committed to keeping skateboarding real.

By carrying Tenant NYC, we’re helping a New York skate shop grow its reach while connecting it to skaters here in Kelowna and across Canada. Two independent shops—one in Brooklyn, one in the Okanagan—linked by a shared respect for creativity, culture, and the people who make it happen.

Tenant NYC fits perfectly with the rest of our brand mix: Dime MTL, Butter Goods, Jungles Jungles, Carpet Company, Victoria HK, Malbon Golf, and other skate-rooted streetwear labels that do it for the right reasons.

From Vancouver and Calgary to Toronto and Montreal, we’re shipping Tenant NYC skateboard clothing across Canada so skaters can represent a brand that’s truly part of the scene. Whether you’re at a park, in the streets, or just living life your way, Tenant NYC brings that unmistakable mix of New York grit and skate authenticity.
