Tenant NYC Skateboard Clothing Arrives at Gallery Streetwear

Tenant NYC has officially landed at Gallery Streetwear Canada, bringing the energy of a true New York skateboard clothing brand to our home base at 588 Bernard Ave in downtown Kelowna and to skaters across the country through our online store.

Tenant NYC began as the in-house clothing line for Tenant Skateshop, a small but influential Brooklyn skateboard shop that opened in 2019. Built by real skaters for their community, Tenant quickly became known for its focus on quality, creativity, and authenticity. What started as shop tees and hats for local skaters grew into a respected name in the international skateboarding scene.

At Gallery Streetwear, we’re proud to carry Tenant NYC and introduce this New York skate shop brand to Canadian skateboarders and streetwear fans who care about culture over hype.

A New York Skate Shop Brand with Real Roots

Tenant NYC represents the kind of brand we believe in—independent, honest, and grounded in skateboarding.

It’s not a label trying to look “skate-inspired.” It comes directly from a working skate shop that sells boards, trucks, wheels, and clothing designed for everyday life.

The pieces are simple, durable, and skateable:

  • Heavyweight cotton tees

  • Relaxed hoodies

  • Classic caps

  • Clean everyday staples built to skate, wash, and repeat

Each design carries subtle references to New York skate culture—local neighborhoods, radio stations, and iconic city details expressed through understated graphics.

Why Gallery Streetwear Carries Tenant NYC

Gallery Streetwear has always focused on independent brands with strong cultural roots.

Tenant NYC fits naturally alongside the global skateboard brands we carry, including Dime MTL, Butter Goods, Jungles Jungles, Carpet Company, Magenta, Loviah, Baker, and Hoddle.

These labels represent real skate communities around the world and form the foundation of the shop.

Connecting Two Independent Skate Shops

Gallery Streetwear is a small independent shop run by lifelong skaters and a former professional snowboarder.

We understand how important real skate shops are to their communities. Supporting brands like Tenant NYC means helping independent skate culture survive and grow.

By carrying Tenant NYC, we’re connecting two small shops—one in Brooklyn and one in Kelowna—through the same culture.

From New York streets to Canadian skate spots, the connection is simple: creativity, independence, and skateboarding.
