The 442 Pro in all-black is the indoor court shoe that doesn't announce itself.

New Balance built the 442 Pro IN V3 for performance on indoor court surfaces, but the blacked-out colourway makes it worth paying attention to outside the gym as well. A tight mesh upper with synthetic overlays keeps the fit secure during lateral movement, while the non-marking rubber outsole handles hard floors without drama.

The Pro designation means a slightly more locked-down construction for players who want responsiveness over plush comfort. For everyone else, it's a clean black trainer that earns its place in the lineup.

New Balance fits true to size across most lifestyle models. The 9060, 990, and 2002 series have a slightly roomier toe box — size down half if you prefer a snug fit. If between sizes, size up half.

Wipe the upper with a damp cloth or soft brush after each wear. For mesh or knit uppers, use a dedicated sneaker cleaner and a soft brush. Air dry only — do not machine wash or tumble dry. Rotate your pairs to extend the life of each shoe.
