Malbon x Grateful Dead Explained: The 60th Anniversary Golf Collab (Canada, 2026)
The Malbon Golf × Grateful Dead collaboration is a six-part series that Malbon Golf is releasing to mark the Grateful Dead's 60th anniversary, with a different artist behind each installment. In Canada, Gallery Streetwear — an authorized Canadian Malbon Golf retailer at 588 Bernard Ave in Kelowna, BC — carries a limited selection, shipping Canada-wide.
This guide explains how the collaboration is structured, what each drop has added so far, and what the pieces we stock actually are. If you only want to shop, go straight to the Malbon Golf × Grateful Dead collection.
What is the Malbon x Grateful Dead collaboration?
Malbon announced the collaboration as a six-part release for the band's 60th anniversary. MyGolfSpy reported that each installment features a different artist, and that the first drop went live on December 5, 2025, with artwork by Daniel Herwitt. Rolling Stone described that first release as a limited-edition line with green retro bucket hats, long sleeves carrying Grateful Dead iconography and co-branded golf bags, with both men's and women's pieces.
The point of the structure is that no two chapters look alike. The collaboration is built to nod to the band's visual history without repeating it, so each drop reads as its own capsule rather than a reprint of the last.
How do the six drops work?
Malbon has said the series is six parts. Three things are visible in public reporting: the first drop landed on December 5, 2025; a later drop landed in July 2026; and the Long Vacation chapter released on October 23, 2026, according to The Grassy Issue. We are not going to guess at the drop numbers, the artists or the release dates of the chapters Malbon has not announced. When the next one lands we will update this page.
What is the Long Vacation chapter?
Long Vacation is the cold-weather chapter. The Grassy Issue describes it as built around forest green and oatmeal, with a blanket-style pattern and the dancing bear riding a golf ball. The range is wide — 13 pieces from a sticker pack up to a cart bag, including a poncho, varsity jacket, cardigan and quarter zip — and the golf balls sold out the day it released.
Gallery's allocation is much smaller than the full range.
What does Gallery Streetwear carry?
- Fairway Dancing Buckets Polo – Ivory — a relaxed polo in a polyester, cotton and silk blend, with a contrast flat-knit collar, two hidden metal snaps at the placket, patterned side tape and center-back artwork. We have it in M, L and XL.
- Bermuda Riders Tee – Ash Heather — a 100% cotton relaxed crew with a restrained front hit and the larger graphic on the back. It is the easiest way into the collaboration.
- Gorse Dancing Buckets Long Sleeve – Washed Black — the heavier body of the two tee silhouettes, in long sleeve.
- Long Vacation Snapback in Brown and Forest — a five-panel acrylic cap with a clear rubber front patch, woven side detail and rear embroidery.
- Tour M Golf Ball Pack – White — Malbon's Tour M ball with the Dancing Buckets artwork. The balls sold out on Malbon's own site on release day.
Sizes are one or two deep. If a size is gone, it is gone. The official range, including pieces we do not carry, is on Malbon's Grateful Dead page.
How do these pieces fit?
The polo is cut as a classic relaxed polo with easy room through the chest, and the tees are relaxed fit. For general Malbon sizing guidance, see our Malbon polo fit and sizing guide. If you are between sizes, call the store and we will check measurements for you.
How is this different from the Daniel Arsham capsule?
Both are Malbon collaborations in the shop this season, and they are different bets. The Daniel Arsham capsule is a nine-style range we took in full. The Grateful Dead series is a rolling six-part release where we hold a small selection. If you want a complete head-to-toe range, Arsham is it; if you want a specific graphic piece from the Dead series, this is it.
