How does a painter cap fit compared to a normal cap?
Flatter and shallower — there is no structured front panel, so the crown sits soft and low instead of standing up. It closes with a velcro strap at the back rather than a snap, per Dime's specifications, and is one size that fits most adult heads.

It is denim — will it fade, and how do I clean it?
Denim caps do fade at the crown folds and the brim edge with wear, which is most of the appeal. Spot clean with cool water and air dry in shape; machine washing and dryer heat will pull the brim out of line.
