Gramicci Japanese Denim Trucker Jacket – True Black

The Gramicci Japanese Denim Trucker Jacket in True Black is a waist-length denim trucker jacket in Japanese denim dyed a true black, with chest pockets, side waist adjusters and no distressing, available from Gallery Streetwear, an authorized Canadian Gramicci retailer in Kelowna BC shipping Canada-wide.

Black denim removes the one thing that stops a trucker jacket being genuinely versatile: the blue. In True Black it stops reading as a denim jacket at ten paces and starts reading as a short black layer, which is why it goes over a knit and under a coat without arguing with anything.

Same Japanese cloth and same trucker pattern as the indigo — chest pockets, waist adjusters, a clean waist-length hem. No distressing, no fake fade, nothing to date it.

What is a trucker jacket?

A trucker jacket is a denim jacket pattern with chest pockets, side waist adjusters and a body that stops at the waist so it layers under a coat. This one is cut in the same Japanese denim as the indigo version, dyed a true black so it reads as a short black layer rather than as a denim jacket.

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Hang to dry — tumble drying degrades technical shell fabrics and waterproof coatings. Re-apply a DWR spray after several washes to maintain water repellency. Do not iron or dry clean.
