The New Balance Women's RC42 is a road-running-derived lifestyle shoe that keeps things deliberately uncomplicated. White with a Reflection accent is about as clean as it gets — a light mesh upper, minimal overlays, and proportions that sit closer to a flat road runner than the chunkier lifestyle models.
Lightweight and breathable with a rubber outsole, the RC42 is the option for people who want something functional and clean without a lot of visual noise. Works across active and casual contexts equally well.
New Balance fits true to size across most lifestyle models. The 9060, 990, and 2002 series have a slightly roomier toe box — size down half if you prefer a snug fit. If between sizes, size up half.
Wipe the upper with a damp cloth or soft brush after each wear. For mesh or knit uppers, use a dedicated sneaker cleaner and a soft brush. Air dry only — do not machine wash or tumble dry. Rotate your pairs to extend the life of each shoe.
