New Balance Shoes

We buy New Balance in two directions: the lifestyle silhouettes people actually want, and the running shoes that hold up on Okanagan terrain. Not the whole catalogue. The part of it worth owning.

The 9060

Our best-selling shoe, full stop. Introduced in 2022, it takes the guts of the 99X running series and warps them — wavy ABZORB and SBS midsole, layered suede and mesh, a sculpted heel that looks like it was carved rather than moulded. It's the shoe that made archive running heritage feel current again.

It is also the shoe we buy deepest by a distance — currently in Breakfast Tea with Angora, Black / Castle Rock in men's and women's, Sea Salt / Silver in men's and women's, and Lone Star Grey in men's and women's.

One thing worth knowing before you order: the 9060 runs about half a size large — that's our own observation from selling them in store, not something New Balance publishes. Come try both — we fit these in person every day.

What else is on the wall

• ABZORB 2000 and 2010 — in Silver / Black, Cortado and Harbour Grey. After the 9060, the deepest run we hold
• Hierro v9 GORE-TEX — waterproof, Vibram outsole, men's and women's, plus the women's Hierro Hiker. The one for Knox Mountain in shoulder season
• 204L — women's, in Sea Salt / Linen and Quicksand / Bark
• BB950 — an '80s court shoe in leather and nubuck, in Linen
• 1906 family — the 1906R in Black with Hot Tomato and Angora / Sea Salt / Shadow Red, the women's 1906R in Rose Sugar Pearl Grey, the 1906F in Punch Yellow / Tangerine, and the 1906W in Ice Wine
• 1906L Loafer in black — the dress-shoe read on the 1906. We are down to a single pair
• 740 in Timberwolf White, men's and women's, and the 2010 in Cortado — the archive rack
• 880R — the daily trainer, for people putting real mileage in
• 574 — in production since 1988 and still the easiest shoe in the building to wear. In Calcium Metallic and the women's Cow Print
• 550 — women's only, in Angora / Copper and Sea Salt / Peach Nectar
• RC42 and the Fresh Foam RCVRY — the quiet picks, and what you put on after

Not in the current range: the Made in USA line and the M1000, the 990, the 2002R, and the RCVRY Slide. We have never stocked the 990 in any season. If you are after any of these, email info@gallerystreetwear.ca and we will tell you honestly what we can get — and if you want the same shape as a 2002R, the 1906R is the shoe to try.

Sizing and fit

We don't publish a sizing rule for New Balance beyond the 9060 note above. If you're unsure, email info@gallerystreetwear.ca or call 250-215-1412 before you order — we'd rather get it right first time than process a return.
