Butter Goods in Canada — Skate Apparel from Melbourne

Butter Goods has been quietly building one of skateboarding's most consistent brands out of Melbourne since 2008. Garth Mariano and Lee Gibson founded the label on a simple thesis: real skate clothing built like vintage. Heavyweight cotton, garment-dyed fleece, corduroy and twill that ages instead of falls apart, screen prints that hold up.

The brand's collab record reads like a who's-who of skate-adjacent culture: Adidas, Disney, Puma, New Balance. But Butter's strongest pieces are the in-line graphics — the heritage logo tees, the corduroy hats, the seasonal fleece sets that show up in autumn and disappear by November.

Gallery is an authorized Butter Goods retailer. We stock the current seasonal collection in our Kelowna shop, refreshed every quarter, with sizes typically in the boxy fit Butter's fans know to expect. Free shipping in Canada over $175.

Butter Goods in Canada — Melbourne Skate Apparel

Butter Goods has been making some of the best skate apparel on the planet out of Melbourne since 2008. Built on the unglamorous fundamentals — corduroys, chinos, heavyweight tees, jacquard knitwear, real workwear jackets — Butter has quietly become a core brand in every serious skater's wardrobe from Tokyo to Toronto.

Gallery Streetwear is a curated Canadian stockist for Butter Goods. We carry the core seasonal range in our Kelowna store and online across Canada.

What Butter Goods makes

  • Pants & trousers — corduroys, chinos, work pants. Baggy but not oversized.
  • Tees & longsleeves — mid-weight cotton, graphic and logo pieces.
  • Knitwear — jacquard sweaters, quarter-zips, beanies. Butter's knitwear is a cult favourite.
  • Outerwear — heavy canvas jackets, fleece pullovers, light packable pieces for shoulder season.
  • Caps & headwear — 5-panels, 6-panels, beanies with logo embroidery.

Collaborations worth knowing

Butter has run long-standing collaborations with Disney (Mickey, Goofy and Minnie graphics), Peanuts (Snoopy and Charlie Brown pieces), and Grateful Dead — all tastefully done, none feel like merch. When they drop, they tend to sell out inside a weekend.

Butter Goods sizing

  • Tees, hoodies — slightly boxy. Most customers stay true; size down one for a fitted look.
  • Pants, corduroys — relaxed/baggy fit through the hip and thigh, tapered through the leg. Take your true waist.
  • Knitwear — true to size, designed to layer.

Styling Butter Goods

Butter corduroys pair cleanly with Adidas Samba, New Balance 574, or Last Resort AB VM001. Butter knitwear sits well under Dime MTL jackets or over Polar Skate Co oxford shirts.
