Waffle is the thermal texture: a grid of raised squares knitted into the cloth. The raised grid traps a layer of air against the body, which is what makes it warmer than a flat jersey of the same weight, and it gives the surface something to catch light on instead of going flat.

What does pigment dyed mean?

Pigment dyeing means the garment is dyed after it is sewn rather than before. The dye sits on the surface of the cloth, so seams and edges read a shade lighter than the panels from the start, and the piece continues to soften and lighten at the wear points with every wash.
