• Width: the 1906R, 2002R and 9060 are offered in standard D width only. New Balance does make multiple widths across its wider catalogue — particularly performance running and walking — but not on these three lifestyle models. If a page tells you to order a 2E in a 9060, that fitting isn't made.
• Shape: the 9060 is narrower through the forefoot than the 1906R, despite looking like the chunkier shoe. Volume in the midsole is not room for your foot.
• Between sizes: take the larger of the two, and check your measurement against the New Balance chart for that specific model rather than carrying a size over from another brand.
