Afends

Afends was founded in 2006 in Byron Bay, New South Wales by childhood friends Jono Salfield and Declan Wise — selling samples out of the back of a van after years running a screen-printing business for punk and hardcore bands.

In 2014 the brand began experimenting with hemp as a cotton alternative and launched its first hemp range in 2015. Today Afends builds around hemp-blend cottons, washed cuts, garment-dyed colorways and a sustainable manufacturing pipeline — including a 100-acre hemp farm near Byron Bay.
