Polar Skate Co is the Swedish skate brand founded by Pontus Alv in 2011 — one of the most influential figures in modern skateboarding. The Polar story
Pontus Alv built Polar after a lifetime at the core of European skateboarding — from Cliché Skateboards to Polar's launch via the cult In Search of the Miraculous video. Polar's aesthetic is carved from Bergmanesque Scandinavian minimalism cut with underground punk flyer graphics. That's why the brand feels like it was art-directed, not marketed.
