The Clarks Originals Wallabee in Maple suede is the hand-sewn, crepe-soled moc-toe Clarks has made since 1966, available from Gallery Streetwear, an authorized Canadian Clarks Originals retailer in Kelowna, BC shipping Canada-wide.
The construction is the whole story. The upper is a moccasin stitched by hand, wrapped over a natural rubber pebble crepe sole and finished with two Clarks Originals fobs. Maple is the colourway the shoe is best known in: a warm, neutral Stead's suede that sits as easily under wide trousers as it does under denim.
Since the late sixties the Wallabee has moved between British subcultures, Jamaican sound systems, New York hip-hop and contemporary fashion without being redesigned to suit any of them. The shape you get today is the shape it started with, which is exactly why it still reads as current.
