New Balance 983 – Shadow Blue

The New Balance 983 in Shadow Blue is a chunky lifestyle sneaker with ABZORB SBS cushioning and a steel-blue mesh and suede upper, available from Gallery Streetwear, a Tier 1 authorized New Balance retailer in Kelowna BC shipping Canada-wide.

Shadow Blue is the reason to look at this one. It is a muted steel blue rather than a bright one, layered across mesh and suede with grey through the midsole, so a shoe with a genuinely maximal outline ends up reading as a neutral. That combination — big shape, quiet colour — is unusual and it is the version of chunky that actually gets worn.

Underfoot it uses ABZORB SBS cushioning pods, the same impact-absorbing family New Balance runs through the 9060 and the 1906 line, on a standard D width with a traditional lace-up closure.

Does the 983 run true to size?
True to size for most people in a standard D width. Between sizes or wider feet: go up a half.
