Fucking Awesome — usually shortened to FA — is the New York skate brand founded in 2001 by Jason Dill with Anthony Van Engelen. Built directly out of the most influential corner of modern skateboarding, FA is the reason the Polaroid-style graphic, the sticker-over-sticker aesthetic, and the deliberately-blurry print logo exist across streetwear today. Everyone copied this. FA did it first.

The FA story

Jason Dill and Anthony Van Engelen are two of the most influential skaters of the last twenty-five years. When they launched Fucking Awesome alongside their sister brand Hockey, the brand became a true skater-built alternative to the corporate-owned skate labels of the 2000s. Every FA drop, every graphic, every team rider decision has been made in-house. The team has included Na-Kel Smith, Tyshawn Jones, Louie Lopez, Sean Pablo, Kevin Bradley and Elijah Berle — one of the deepest rosters in skateboarding.
