The Cut 114 wears well on the earth's terms, an eco-friendly frame from UK eyewear label Spitfire in a tortoise shell cellulose acetate. Handmade from optical-grade acetate that's hypoallergenic and more sustainable, it pairs anti-reflective lenses with full UV protection for clean everyday function.

The Spitfire Cut 114 earns points on two fronts: the tortoise shell cellulose acetate construction uses plant-based materials that are both bio-degradable and optically excellent, and the silhouette itself is a clean, mid-size frame with anti-reflective lenses that reads contemporary without being trend-dependent.
Tortoise shell in cellulose acetate carries a depth and warmth that synthetic materials can't replicate — each pair reads slightly differently because of natural variation in the acetate sheet. Classic enough to wear for years, considered enough to feel deliberate.
Clean lenses with the included microfibre cloth. Never use paper or rough fabric which scratches lens coatings. Store in the hard case when not in use. Rinse with clean water before wiping if exposed to salt spray or sand.
