Last Resort AB

Last Resort was started in 2020 by Pontus Alv, the skater and filmmaker behind Polar, with Sami Tolppi — childhood friends from 1990s Sweden. It grew out of Tolppi's Japan-only 3-3-20 project and launched with no outside money behind it.

The result is a skate shoe that doesn't look like one. Heavyweight suede and leather, rolled foxing, vulcanised sole, almost no branding anywhere on it. It skates properly and it doesn't look out of place with anything else you own.

The models

• VM001 — the signature vulcanised low and mid, suede or leather. The one most people mean
• VM002 — same idea, updated construction
• CM001 — cupsole, for more board feel and a bit more durability

Colourways rotate seasonally, mostly black, white and muted tones. Fit runs true to size.
